Eula Day Connally was the daughter of Wilson Albert "Pete" Connally (1866-1955), a Robstown, Nueces County, Texas, physician and surgeon, who was born in Jonesboro, Coryell County, Texas, and his wife, Ida Mae Smith (1875-1961), a native of Brenham, Washington County, Texas. Eula married Stephen "Steve" Kubala (1898-1958), of El Campo, Wharton, Texas, and they were blessed with the birth of a daughter, Eula Jeanne Kubala (1934- ).
