Bio

Services for Robert Courson Sr., 78, Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park. Mr. Courson died Feb. 2, 2007, in Tyler. He was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Como to Jonnie and Mamie Courson. He was a self-employed bail bondsman and retired from National Homes. He served in the Army and was a life member of American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Formerly of Kerens, he had resided in Tyler for more than 50 years. He was preceded in death by one brother, and one grandson. Members of the American Legion will serve as honorary pallbearers. Published in the Tyler Morning Telegraph on Feb 3, 2007
