Name: Augusta Kellner Titles: Gender: Female Marital status: Death date: 17 Jan 1982 Death county: Bexar Death place: Bexar, Texas, United States Collection: Texas Death Index 1964-1998 Augusta Ullmann Kellner arrived at the port of Galveston June 27, 1903 on the S.S. Koln, sailing out of Bremen along with her parents and family and grandmother. The arrival document listed them as Ullmann, Josef, age 44 Theresa, age 43 Josef, age 17 Stephan, age 15 Augusta, age 13 Emil, age 11 Mary, age 9 Wilhelmine, age 7 Gustav, age 3 Schneider, Theresa, age 64 All had race or people as German. Country appears to be Moravia and last residence appears to be Botenwald which no longer appears on the map. Some sources say it is now Butovice and some say it is Trnavka. Both are in Moravia and are only a few miles apart. For the 1910 census, they were all in Bexar County. All said their place of birth was Aust-Germany. All except the four youngest children gave their native tongue as German. Joseph and Theresa Ullmann had been married 24 years and she had had 9 children, and 7 were still living. Theresa Schneider died in 1918 and in 1920, Joseph and Theresa Ullmann were living in the same dwelling with their son-in-law Joe Kellner and daughter Augusta in Wilson County. Augusta and parents all said they arrived in America in 1903 and were naturalized in 1919. All three gave their place of birth as Austria and their mother tongue as German. Augusta’s death certificate gave her birth place as Germany. Theresa Ullmann’s death certificate said her father was John Schneider.
