Bio
Funeral services for George C. Younce, 96, a native of Beach Creek, N.C. and a resident of Foley, who died Wednesday, June 21, 1989, were held June 24 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Foley. Burial was in Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale with Rev. Earl Godwin officiating. Survivors include his four daughters, Grace Nelson, Mae Smith, Barbara Williams and Marjorie Snook all of Foley; two sons, Lester Younce and Herbert Younce both of Foley; one sister, Minnie Reus of Pascagoula, Miss.; 31 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, was in charge of arrangements. Published in The Independent, Robertsdale, Alabama on Wednesday, June 28, 1989
