Bio

Former Local Resident Died Last Week-Peter Pea of Argenta passed away July 26, at the Decatur and Macon County hospital in Decatur. He was a retired railroad employe and had live in Argenta for about 15 years. He was born in Moultie County, August 30, 1872, a son of Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Pea. He was a member of the Henton Methodist chruch. Surviving him are the following children: Alonzo of Oakland, Wisconsin; Paul of Beloit, Wisconsin; Jacob of San Leandro, California; Mrs. Ed Manning of Argenta; Mrs. C. S. McClafflin of Beloit, and Mrs. Ruth Pfeiffer. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Etta Rhodes of Sullivan, 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the McMullin Funeral Home in Sullivan, conducted by Rev. Orval Bear. Interment was in the Pea cemetery northwest of Sullivan.
