Bio

John G. Hogendorn, 94, died Wednesday, July 15. 2015, at Brookdale Senior Living in Sauk Rapids. Funeral Services were held Sunday, July 19, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids with Rev. Yolanda Lehman officiating. John was born August 15, 1920, in Leigh, NE, to John and Elsie (Glandt) Hogendorn. He served in the 485th Bombardment Group, Army Air Force during WW II from 1943 to 1946. He married Marcella Kouba January 21, 1947. They farmed in Nebraska until moving to Foley in 1956 and farmed until retiring in 1996. John was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Mike Bixby; brothers, Charles, Harold, Merle and Paul; and sisters, Hazel Hogendorn and Della Pont.
