Bio

Coriner Gooch Guest was born to John Thomas Gooch and Sarah Ann Rutherford Gooch while her family was relocating from McNairy County, Tennessee to Arkansas. The family had undertaken the journey along with two of her father's brothers and their families, eighteen people in total, in covered wagons pulled by oxen. At the Mississippi River, her father sold his oxen and wagon on account of his wife's advanced pregnancy and the family proceeded by train to Harrison, Arkansas where Coriner was born. In 1898 she married Isaac Love Guest and together they raised six children.
