Bio

John P Harder was a barber in Grand Island and a resident there for more than 35 years. He was born in the Molotschna Colony in South Russia in 1896 and came to the United States in 1903. He married Nellie K Penner Jan 11, 1923 at York, Nebraska. Their first home was in Henderson, Nebraska where John had a barber shop. He was a member of the Lutheran Church; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 378, Grand Island; and with the Barbers Union. John and Nellie Harder had two sons and two daughters. John was the son of Peter and Catherine Huebert Harder.
