Bio
Louisa Heuchling Geyer was born 2 April 1841 in Saxony, Germany (Source: Death Certificate). Her parents were Frederich and Marianna Christina Flachs Heuchling. They immigrated to Texas in 1852. Louisa had six sisters and one brother. Louisa Heuchling and August Geyer were married 1 Jan 1861 in Castroville, Medina County, Texas. From the Hondo ANVIL HERALD: "Mrs. Louisa Geyer, a former resident of Castroville and later of Delta, Bexar County, died at Cuero, Texas, Wednesday, April 6, 1932, having the age of 92 years. She leaves surviving 4 sons, 3 daughters: H. R., Otto, Willie, and Edmund, Mrs. Lena Welter, Mrs. Louis Heiser, and Mrs. Hattie Marquis, besides a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the chapel of the Riebe Undertaking Company at San Antonio Friday, April 8 at 3:00 P.M. Interment was made in San Jose Burial Park" (Mann Family History, p. 134).
