"When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me, please know I'm in your heart." - Unknown Wilfred Lonzy Bailey, 79, returned to his heavenly home on July 2, 2015, after suffering complications from heart surgery. Mr. Bailey, the son of George Wilson and Bessie Mae Smith Bailey, was born on December 26, 1935, in Hicks, Louisiana. He married his wife, Zenia Dell Bailey, on February 4, 1956, and they had two children. He lived in Simpson County where was a commercial contractor and business owner. He was not retired and had no intentions of retirement when he became ill. He was a member of New Life Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Jackson. Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 59 years, Zenia Dell Bailey; his son, George Wilfred Bailey of Pearl; his daughter, Susan Diane Galtelli, and son-in-law, Mark Brooks Galtelli of Madison; and his four grandchildren, Rebecca Bailey, Sarah Donnelly, Victoria Bailey, and Grace Galtelli. He is preceded in death by his brother, Riley Wilson "Dub" Bailey, and his parents. Mr. Bailey's service was held on July 6, 2015, at Parkway Memorial on Highland Colony in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and he was buried there as well.
