Bio

Aged 42 yrs. ∼ Louisa Lewis, the daughter of Martin Lewis and Winnie Allen, was born in about 1853 in Cocke Co. TN. Her family moved to Collin Co. TX in 1867 and she later married Marion Montgomery Tucker. This family moved to what became Love County OK in about 1885 and they resided near Eastman, of which the cemetery only exists now. On Feb 6, 1895, she and her husband, and three of their children were murdered probably by their son in law, Fred Wilson. Because Louisa's husband had turned Fred in for a charge of seducing Louisa's younger sister, it certainly gave him a motive to do the deed. No record has been found at this point of a conviction, but Wilson was sent to the U.S.district court in Paris, TX for trial. Louisa, her husband, and three of their young children are buried at the Eastman Cemetery.
