Bio
Karen Marie (Vyhlidal) Bade was born to her loving parents Edward J. and Mary T. (Jirovsky) Vyhlidal on Tuesday April 1, 1947 at Fremont, Dodge County Nebraska. Karen attended country elementary school district 28 in rural North Bend, Dodge County and was very active in 4-H during her childhood years. Karen drove a blue "54" Ford during her years attending North Bend High. Karen attended Bahner's Beauty School during her high school senior year. Karen graduated from North Bend High on Sunday May 23, 1965 and around the same time graduated as a beautician. Karen was a hairdresser at Omaha, Douglas County, Mary Jane Feala was her roommate at the time. Karen was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Bade on Saturday January 28, 1967 at the St. Charles Catholic Church of North Bend. After her marriage to Bob, he was stationed in California where they lived during his Navy military service. They moved to Arvada, Jefferson County Colorado near Denver. Over the years they were blessed with four daughters and a son. Karen worked for AT&T at Northglenn, Adam County. Sadly Karen passed on Friday August 19, 1988 of cancer at the age of 41 years, 4 months, 18 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 15,116 days. Karen's funeral services were held Monday August 22, 1988 at the Shrine of St. Anne Church at Arvada. Karen was interred in block 5, lot 125, d 1 in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, her marker inscription of "Goodnight Sweetheart". Karen's son Kevin's ashes were interred on her grave in 1997. Karen once carried her son for nine months, now she is carrying him into eternity. Karen's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Karen by a NBHS classmate Loren R.
