Katharina is the daughter of Dirk & Catharina M. (Hinricks) Siebels. Katharina married Friedrick Gerhard Melchior Martfeld in 1874 in Germany Katharina and Fredrick are the parents of nine children with seven living to adulthood: 1. Deidrich Frederich Johann b. April 18, 1875 d. May 30, 1945 2. Auguste Margaretha b. 1882 d. 3. Meta b. 1884 d. June 1969 4. Tena Catherine b. September 14, 1888 d. October 28, 1932 5. Hans Johan b. August 4, 1886 d. February 10, 1967 6. Fred August b. August 5, 1894 d. August 15, 1972 7. Freda Henrietta b. April 1, 1891 d. November 14, 1968 After Fredrick's death Katharina and her children left Germany for America in 1897. Katharina married Henry Rolapp on June 30, 1898 in Le Mars, Iowa. Katharina and Henry are the parents of one son, Johann Henry b. November 13, 1898 d. August 2, 1899
