Bio
Dennis Eugene Koranda, Jr. was born on April 14, 1943, in Seward, NE; to Dennis and Evelyn (Prochaska) Koranda and passed away on June 27, 2015, in Seward, NE; at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 13 days. He was baptized in Ulysses, NE; and made his first communion and was confirmed in Bee, NE. Junior attended a one room school house through the eighth grade and graduated from Seward High School in 1961. He served in the National Guard from 1961 - 1965. Junior was united in marriage on June 16, 1964, in Bee, NE; at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. For two years, he worked for the Seward County Bridge crew. Junior and Lodeen were engaged in farming all their married life. His memberships included; St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee, Bee Fire Department, Rural Fire Board and the Bee Co-op Elevator. Junior was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, father-in-law Norman Vollstedt, mother-in-law Lois (Niewedde) Vollstedt, brother Robert Koranda, brother-in-law Bruce Tempel and nephew Jeff Vollstedt. He is survived by his wife, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Two aunts, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
