HOLDREGE — Joyce Marie Kohlscheen Bills, 81, of Holdrege died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Holdrege with the Rev. Dr. W. Kirwin Stewart Jr. officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. MDT at Paxton Cemetery. Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege is in charge of the arrangements. She was born Sept. 23, 1933, in Paxton to John W. and Minnie M. (Crook) Holmstedt. On June 26, 1955, she married Kenneth A. “Kenny” Kohlscheen in Paxton. He died Jan. 22, 1990. On July 11, 1992, she married Edwin J. “Ed” Bills of Grand Island. Survivors include her husband; children, Brian Kohlscheen of Norman, Okla., Jill Burns of Orlando, Fla., and Ronn Kohlscheen of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; brother, Donald Holmstedt of Moraga, Calif.; sister, Marjorie Perlinger of Paxton; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; stepsons: Bradley Bills and Scott Bills, both of Grand Island, and Barry Bills of Omaha; and six stepgrandchildren.
