Fremont Tribune (NE) - Thursday, November 16, 2000 SCHUYLER -- Ernest Robert Hines, 85, of Schuyler died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Alegent Health Memorial Hospital in Schuyler. Hines was born June 7, 1915, in Morse Bluff. He attended Morse Bluff Public Schools. He married Marie Hajek June 30, 1947, at St. John's Catholic Church in Prague. He farmed north of Linwood for many years. He served as mayor of Linwood in the 1960s. He served in United States Army infantry from 1942-43. He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Schuyler and served on Linwood School Board. He was a former member of Linwood Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Sheila (Mrs. Steve) TeSelle of Lincoln; a son, Steve (and wife, Vickie) Hines of Brainard; a brother, Leonard Hines of Fremont; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church with the Rev. William Whelan officiating. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday and 8:30-10:15 a.m. Monday, all at Svoboda Funeral Home North Chapel in Schuyler. A rosary will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Killian Hill Cemetery in Morse Bluff.
