Source: The Marshall News Messenger, 08 Feb 1985, Fri Edition, Page 3 Contributed by SweetCarolineage (48614303) Funeral services for Bertha Nancy Lanier of Linden, formerly of Marshall, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Linden Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Holt officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery under direction of Hanner-Caver Funeral Home. Mrs. Lanier died Thursday, Feb. 7, 1985, in Linden Hospital. She was born Sept. 21, 1887, in the Union Chapel Community, Cass County, the daughter of Frank and Myrtle Frost. She married Rube Lanier on April 21, 1913, and was a member of Linden United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Myrtle Bell Lee of Sweetwater; one son, Tom Lanier of Linden; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
