Obituary for Benjamin C. Williams 8 Oct 1975 Lafayette, Lafayette, Louisiana, USA The Daily Advertiser; Wednesday; Page 4; New Iberia – Funeral services were to have been held at 2 p.m. today in the Highland Baptsit Church in New Iberia for Ben C. Williams, 66, who died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lafayette General Hospital following an extended illness. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, New Iberia. Mr. Williams was a native of Van. Alstyne, Tex., the son of the late Eugene Williams and Sally Davis. He was a self-employed oilfield contractor for 18 years. He is survived by his widow, the former Anna Mae Ables of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. George (Bennie) Tanoos of Orange, Tex., five sons, Jerry Williams of Slidell, Marshall Williams of New Iberia, and Charles R., James O., and Ernest A. Williams, all of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Heady of Sullivan, Miss.; one brother, Jack Williams of Abilene, Tex.; and 11 grandchildren.
