Fort Bend Herald, June 22, 2015: Funeral services for Evelyn Ruth Beard-Stockton, 80, of Needville, TX, are set for 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Sermon on the Mound Church in Damon, TX 77430. Burial will follow in the Damon Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 pm Wednesday at the church, for one hour preceding the funeral service. She was born Evelyn Ruth Uherek on January 7, 1935 in Needville, TX to Louis August Uherek and Caroline Amelia Ondras Uherek. She died June 19, 2015 in Needville, TX. During the last years of her life, Evelyn was graceful and loving and had a smile for everyone. She was lovingly cared for by Houston Hospice/El Campo and by the staff of SPJST Rest Home #2 in Needville, TX. Family and friends enjoyed her smile and her sweet spirit. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, and by 7 siblings, Irene Lois Uherek Rush, Lydia Uherek Bosak, Rose Uherek Emerson, Wilsie Caroline Uherek Huffer, Adolf Frank (Abe) Uherek, Henry J. Uherek, and Ludvic Louis Uherek. Survivors include 2 daughters, Elaine Cadwell and husband, Luther (Calvin) and Rhonda Livingston and husband, Johnny; son, Travis R. Beard, Jr.; grandchildren, Calvin Cadwell, Jr., Kevin Cadwell, Quentin Livingston and wife, Eriko, Jennifer Livingston, Jamie Denson and husband, Matt, Laura Livingston, and Michael Livingston and wife, Ana; great grandchildren, C J Cadwell, Korben Denson, Kaylor Denson, Kristopher Denson, Brynlee Livingston, Seth Livingston, and Landon Livingston; 3 siblings, Janet U. Woodard, Alfred Alvin Uherek, and Raymond Edward Uherek; nieces and nephews and other relatives. Memorials may be given in her memory to Houston Hospice/El Campo, 1102 N Mechanic St, El Campo, TX 77437; or to SPJST Rest Home #2, 8611 Main Street, Needville, TX 77461.
