Husband of Edith Mabel (or Mabel E.) Amsberry, married 30 December 1908 in Broken Bow, Custer County, Nebraska. "Herman A. Miche was born at Freeport, Illinois, April 29, 1869 and departed from this life February 18, 1945 at the age of 75 years, nine months and eighteen days. When a young man, he came west and settled near Aurora, where he lived eight years; then he moved to near Ansley, where he resided forty-four years. In February, 1944, he moved to Ansley on account of failing health. On December 30, 1908, he was united in marriage to Mabel E. Amsberry. To this union were born a daughter, Doris E. Shephardson, and a son, Robert W., both residents of Ansley vicinity. He also leaves to mourn his departure, three grandchildren, four nephews and nieces. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church as a child. Mr. Miche was a kind and loving neighbor and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Methodist Church, with Rev. Alice Elisan in charge, assisted by Rev. Jensen, pastor of the local Methodist Church and Rev. Burress, pastor of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Maria Grim and Miss Della Bergersang, assisted by Mrs. Hattie Mattley at the piano. John Hall, A.H. Walker, L.T. Wilkinson, Frank Rohde, Wood Matlock and George Edmisten acted as pallbearers and burial was had in the Ansley Cemetery."
