WW II Under General George Patton Obit transcribed from the Ozark Co. Times, dated 1974-6-13 John Satterfield Dies Friday in K.C. Services were held Tuesday for John Perry Satterfield, 54, of Kansas City. A former resident, Mr. Satterfield died Friday in Kansas City General hospital. Mr. Satterfield was born Oct. 15, 1919, to Caleb Robert and Ollie Martin Satterfield. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a 1938 graduate of Gainesville high school. He was a veteran of World War II. At the time of his death he was employed as a counselor for Muchlbach Funeral Home in Kansas City. Survivors include his wife, Berta, his mother; one step son, William White, Wichita, Kans., one brother, Claud Satterfield, Pontiac; three sisters, Mrs. Polly Koch, Fulton, ILL., Mrs. Gladys Henry, Waynesville, and Miss Mabel Satterfield, Isabella. Funeral services were held in the Isabella Baptist Church with the Rev. James J. Kyle officiating, Burial was in the Isabella Cemetery, Pallbearers were Cecil Satterfield, Jesse Satterfield, Charley Satterfield, Mearl Satterfield, Glen Satterfield and Hervil Satterfield.
