Bio

CULBERTSON -- Cleo E. Matson, 83, died Saturday, November 13, 1993, at the Community Hospital in McCook. She was born September 3, 1910 at Guide Rock to Walter and Edna (Laflin) Hoskins. She grew up in northeast Colorado, Oklahoma, and southwest Nebraska. On November 5, 1928 she married Clifford LeRoy Matson at Oberlin. They lived in Culbertson. Preceding her in death were her husband on December 28, 1988; one infant son, LeRoy; her parents; two brothers, Robert and Charles Hoskins; and one sister, Marie Ericksen. Survivors include one son, Wayne Matson and his wife, Marilyn of McCook; one daughter, Dolores and her husband, Richard Christner of Hayes Center; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with the Rev. George Kilmer officiating. Burial will be in the Culbertson cemetery.
