Obituary: Otto Karr Pabian was born November 29, 1901, the youngest son of John and Barbara (Bartos) Pabian, at Prague Nebraska. He passed away on January 5, 1966 in Lincoln Nebraska at the age of 65 years. Mr. Pabian's survivors include: sister, Mrs. Thomas (Albie) McGinn of Council Bluffs Iowa; two sons, Howell D. and Roger K., both of Lincoln, also several nieces and nephews. He attended school at Prague and graduated from Wahoo High School. He also graduated from Peru State Teachers College in Peru Nebraska. He took further work at the University of Missouri, Columbia Missouri, and at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln. He had taught in the Orleans, Arafino, Abie, Greeley, Giltner, Kilgore, Clarkson and Rising City, Nebraska high schools. He had served in the Unites States Merchant Marines and worked for Robert's Dairy in Lincoln. Otto was a member of Melrose Lodge, No. 60, Orleans Nebraska; Gethsemane Commandery Columbus Nebraska and Sesostris Temple. He was also a member of Beta Beta Beta fraternity (Biological Honorary). Funeral services were held January 8, 1966 at the Methodist church, Rising City Nebraska at 10:30 am and at 2 pm in Omaha. Burial was made in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Omaha Nebraska.
