Bio

Huey Wilburn York, 87, of Waco, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015, in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 18, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 19, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, Waco. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Huey was born in Groesbeck, Texas, to the late Robert and Myrtle York. He served as a petty officer, 3rd class, in the United States Navy. Huey married Alicia Yanes in 1991. Huey owned a feed store in Teague, TX, for over 20 years. He also worked as a cattle rancher in Eddy, Texas. He was a member of Tomball Masonic Lodge, #1096. Huey was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie York; sister, Era Evans; and a brother, A.D. York. Survivors include his wife, Alicia York; sons, Jeff York and wife, Kim, and Ryan York; stepsons, Jesse Acosta and wife, Christie, and John Acosta and Lynnette Boyd; sister, Bobbie Jean Gauntt and husband, Kenneth; and grandchildren: Katy, Avery, Ally, Andrew, and Josh; other relatives and many friends.
