*********************************** From "Genealogy of the Fairbanks Family in America, 1633-1897" published in 1897 "ALFRED FAIRBANK, of Stockton, Cal. Born in Coventry, R. I., July 6, 1831. He went to California in 1857; bought a ranch, and began farming. He had good success, and bought other ranches. He was for many years a resident of Stockton; died there May 21, 1894. Married Mary Percilla Blair, April 1, 1867 Children: 1. Elbridge, born Aug. 14, 1868. He is a farmer; had charge of one of his father's ranches. 2. Anna, born Jan. 3, 1870; married Frank Fiske Cadle, of Stockton, Cal., Oct., 1890. 3. Frank, born Sept 3, 1871; died Nov., 1872 4. Madge Luella, born Feb. 6, 1873; married April 19, 1893, James C. Keys, of Stockton. 5. Edgar Clyde, born Aug. 13, 1875; died May 30, 1878. 6. Alma, born Feb 1. 1879" ***********************************
