Mrs. Alice P. Mattox MARSING—Mrs. Alice Phebe Mattox, 66, of Marsing died at a local hospital Sunday. Mrs. Mattox was born April 23, 1892, at Tama, Iowa. She was married at Sargent, Neb., on Feb. 24, 1916, to Eddy Mattox who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1954. In 1932 the couple came from Nebraska to the Central Cove and Fargo communities near Wilder and Homedale. In 1933 they moved to Marsing. She was a member of the Assembly of God church at Marsing. She is survived by two sons, Elwood Mattox of Caldwell and Milo Mattox of Ashland, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Alvora Webb of Marsing, Mrs. Doris Prall of Coeur d'Alene, Mrs. Merlin Hubbard of Huston, Idaho, and Mrs. June Askwig of Denver, and 15 grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel in Caldwell. The Rev. Howard Murphy of Marsing will officiate. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.
