The obituary for Robert's father George W Klingler documents children as follows: THE OLD MUST DIE Our brother, Geo. W. Klingler passed from this life on the night of May 25th, at the age of seventy-four years, seven months and twenty five days. He was born in Clermont county, Ohio, September 30, 1839. He moved to Iowa with his parents during the fifties. He volunteered, joining Co. L of the 8th Iowa Cavalry, and served until the end of the war. He was honorably discharged at Clinton, Iowa, at the close of the war. He was married to Mrs. Lydia J. Keethler, March 25th, 1866, and to this union were born six children; five sons and one daughter. One son died in infancy . There remain to mourn his loss the faithful wife and the following children; Arthur E. Klingler of McLouth, Kansas, Frederick E. Klingler, William M. Klingler, Ollie Klingler, and Le Roy Klingler of this place, also J. A. Keethler, Mrs. Klingler's son, by her former marriage, who lives with his wife and one child a few miles farther south. Mr. Keethler grew up as a son in the family. For other grandchildren also mourn his loss. Brother and sister Klingler were converted and joined the United Brethren church at Ormanvllle, la., forty-seven years ago. After coming to Kansas Brother Klingler united with the Presbyterian church at Indianola. This, was about twenty- five years ago. For the past three years ' Mr. Klingler has been a helpless paralytic, cared or with loving tenderness. His wonderful patience and Christian fortitude have been a benediction in his own family. Brother Klingler came of Christian parents. His father was a local preacher and his own voice has been heard in Christian testimony many times in the hearing of all his old neighbors. The sympathy of friends and neighbors is extended to the family in their time of sorrow. The funeral services were held at Central church, May 27 and interment was made In Elmwood cemetery at Augusta. HOWARD M. BROWN, Pastor.
