Bio

Cynthia Lou Franks, 63, of Hot Springs passed away Saturday May 30, 2015. She was born August 7, 1951 to the late Mary Lou Felts Franks & Billy Tom Franks in Hot Springs. Cyndy was a member of the Hot Springs Class of 69 lunch bunch; she was raised up in First Christian Church and later years attended First Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her parents and one daughter, Lora Short. Cyndy graduated from Hot Springs High in 1969 and GCCC and went on to get her BS/BSN in nursing from Henderson in 1992. She was a caring, compassionate nurse for over 25 years. She saved many lives and touched more with her big heart that never wanted to say no. She was recruited to open the Heart Hospital" and was a supervisor, nurse, compassionate friend, She loved her friends and family, those so dear to her heart were her 2 grandchildren and precious great grandbaby. She will be truly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Wyndy (Chris) Hamilton; two sisters, her twin, Debby Franks Shackelford & Suzann Franks; two grandchildren, Destinee (Cody Love) Hamilton & Christian Hamilton, one great-great grandchild, Brayden Love; uncles Steve (Denise) Vickers, Tommy (Ann) Vickers; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. Memorial Services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday June 10th at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Mike Louton and Steve Vickers officiating. Honorary pallbearers are J.R. Dimarzio, Walt Thrasher, Jim Latture, St. Vincent emergency Staff especially Daren Brayden, Lifenet, Hot Springs Fire Department, Hot Springs Police Department, Hot Springs Funeral Home Staff, Scarlet Henderson, Jean Stone, Becky Draper and Ryan Thomas.
