Bio
Lenora Grace Hestwood passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Broken Arrow, OK. Lenora is a former resident of Albuquerque, NM, as well as of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and Arkansas. Lenora and her husband, Rev. James Hestwood, moved often because of his work for Shell Oil and later as a pastor of the United Methodist Church. Lenora was an amazing woman who made an impact wherever she went, getting involved wherever she lived. Lenora loved sewing and quilting, gardening and cooking. Her children and grandchildren were always her joy. Lenora had two brothers and five sisters. Her husband, Jim, as well as her son, Bruce Hestwood and daughter, Linda preceded her in death. Lenora is survived by her daughter, Connie Davis (Jim) of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter-in-law, Donna Hestwood, nine grandchildren, Blake, Terry and Debbie Storch, Jennifer Farley, Melissa Myers, Stephanie Harrison, Jeri Bailey, Marni Hestwood and Sarah Rhodehouse. Lenora also has nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM that afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church of your choice.
