Bio

Hiram Herron, 86, of Route 5, Morristown, formerly of Eidson, died Wednesday, May 13, in Doctors' Hospital following a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jane, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. John (Bertha) Wilson, Mrs. Wiley (Leona)Hurd, both of Clinchport, Va.; two sons, Elder Eckel Herron, Gate City, Va., Quintin Herron, Morristown; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Jim Herron, of Rogersville. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon from the chapel at Colboch-Price with the Rev. Fred Winstead, the Rev. Leslie Griffie and the Rev. Jimmy Combs officiating. Burial was in the Snapp Cemetery at Eidson.
