HARVARD — Clementina “Tina” Stec, 82, of Harvard died Monday, June 1, 2015, at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings. There will be a private family interment. Mrs. Stec was born Feb. 28, 1933, near Pilsno to Charles and Victoria (Cieloha) Zelasney. She attended school in Silver Creek and graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1950. Tina moved to Columbus and worked for Dales Electronics. On Oct. 20, 1959, Tina was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” Stec in Columbus. They lived in several places before moving to Harvard in 1964. While in Harvard they owned and operated the Double T Bar for several years and later Tina also worked at the nursing home for many years. For the last 23 years, they spent the winter months in Texas. They enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and attending their grandchildren’s activities. Tina was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a 49-year member of the VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Tony Stec of Harvard; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Steve and Donna Stec, Michael Stec, John Stec, and Dave and Lisa Stec, all of Hastings; a daughter, Terri Stec of Sutton; four grandchildren, Holly (Adrian) Carlson, Marissa, Mariah and Zachary; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Victoria Zelasney; brothers, Alex and Ed; sisters, Helen, Monica “Minnie” and Elizabeth; three nephews and a niece.
