"TRIED TO PUT OUT FLAMES Raymon Farmer Receives Inuries While Attempting to Save Life of His Wife. Anton Pospisil, farmer living three miles north of Raymond was severely burned about his hands and arms when he attempted to tear the flaming clothing from the body of his wife, who died as the results of her injuries Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth's hospital. Mrs. Pospisil was pouring oil into the tank of her coal oil stove, a burner of which was lighted. The tank exploded spraying Mrs. Pospisil with oil. The accident occurred at 7 p. m. Wednesday. The woman ran screaming out of the house. Mr. Pospisil, who was in the house, ran after her and made a heroic effort to save her life. Besides her husband, Mrs. Pospisil leaves two little children, a boy four years old, and a girl, six years old." - Nebraska State Journal; September 16, 1921
