A celebration of Bob's life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, five miles north of Brewster by the Cross and Bible along Highway 7. Military rights will be given. His ashes will be laid to rest with his loyal companion and horse, Mike, so they can have their final trail ride across the Sandhills of Nebraska. Mr. Olson was born Sept. 26, 1934, to Gerald and Loreen (Renner) Olson at his grandparents Renners' home in Madison County. He is survived by his wife; five children and their spouses, Robert Jr. and Vicki Olson of Barlett, Gena and Tom Schimenti of Ord, Randy and Karen Olson of Colorado, Carla Bolli and friend Ron Shrad of Elgin and Michelle and Curtis Gurney of Burwell; stepchildren and their spouses, David and Kiffney Conner of Kearney, Christine Dumont of Omaha, Ann and Michael Herbig of Central City, Doug and Kris Conner of Kearney; and a brother, Jim Olson of Norfolk.
