Bio

A.C. "Gusty" Beach, 87, of Hildreth, Neb., died Oct. 5, 2002, at the Franklin County (Neb.) Hospital. He was born June 1, 1915, in Smith County, near Reamsville, to A.C. and Elizabeth (Hibard) Beach. ..He grew up in that area. On Nov. 17, 1937, he married Dorothy Abbott. They lived and farmed in the Kensington area, and Gusty also drove a Kensington school bus for many years. Dorothy died in 1989. ..On Oct. 19, 1991, he married Gloria Bratka Rahmann and they lived in Hildreth. ..Gusty enjoyed working on the farm and working with horses, sheep, and cattle. He liked to play cards and enjoyed talking with people. He made friends wherever he went, enjoyed his family, and liked to follow his children and grandchildren's activities. ..He was preceded in death by his first wife; one grandson, Cameron Beach; two brothers and six sisters. ..The survivors are his wife, Gloria of Hildreth; two sons, A. C. "Craig" Beach and wife Margaret of North Platte, Neb., and Curtis Beach and wife Mary of Kensington; two daughters, Linda Beach of Omaha and Lynette Sprague and husband Randy of Alta Vista; one step-son, Tim Rahmann and wife Myra of Gibbon, Neb.; one step-daughter, Sandy Culler and husband Jerry of Kearney, Neb.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Beach and wife Alice of Bennington; and one sister, Isa Kienzle and husband John of Agra. ..The funeral was Oct. 8th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hildreth, officiated by Rev. Kim Stover. The graveside service was at Myers (Pleasant View) Cemetery, Athol, with Rev. Dave Hutson officiating. source: Smith County Pioneer, Oct. 10, 2002
