Bio
Curtis LaFaitte passed away unexpectedly at home, on May 12th 2015. Curtis was born in Austin on June 17, 1962 and died May 12, 2015. He grew up in Northwest Hills, graduated from Anderson High School in 1981 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Curtis was a visionary, marketing genius, and entrepreneur. He began a successful career with The Republic of Tea Company for over a decade where he built their business nationally. In 2013 he saw a market for fresh healthy juices and launched FRESH Pressed Juice Company. Curtis was a passionate lover of life. He was quick witted, smart, athletic, handsome, and very hardworking. He was a great friend and he had a wonderful sense of humor about everything. Curtis met people where they were and could really enjoy that person. He had numerous friends from all kinds of backgrounds. Curtis was proud of his Texas roots, his family was 4th generation Texan and his grandfather had been a minister in Texas. Curtis was loved and adored and will be sadly missed by his family, friends and employees at FRESH PRESSED. Curtis was an avid swimmer and one of the regulars down at Deep Eddy pool. He enjoyed preparing food and was the perfect host. To say that Curtis had numerous friends was an understatement. Curtis is survived by: Don and Donnette Sconci LaFaitte (brother and sister-in-law), Gary LaFaitte (brother),Travis LaFaitte (nephew), Joy and John Pinson (niece and husband), Kristina Smith (step niece), and was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Vlasta LaFaitte. Visitation will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. A chapel service will be held in the Chapel of Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Austin Memorial Park.
