Bio

Klat Services Held Monday William Klat was born August 14, 1911 near Comstock, Nebraska to W. Joseph and Josie Polan Klat and died November 24, 1984 at the Bethesda Care Home in Ashland, Nebraska at the age of 73. William grew up on the family farm 12 miles west of Ord. The family moved to Sargent where William began his education. Later the family moved to a farm in Garfield County near Burwell for two years and William continued his education. In 1925, William moved with his family to a farm southwest of Ord. William finished his schooling in the Ord schools. For the past 15 years, William had lived in Ashland at the Bethesda Care Home. Survivors include two aunts, Mrs. Frank Valla of Comstock and Mrs. Sadie Mathauser of Biggs, CA; and 32 cousins. William was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held Monday, November 26, 1984 at 2 pm at the Ord Presbyterian Church with burial in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Nov 29 1984, Pg 6, Col 1
