Regina Rosie (Malota) Gerik, 88, of Fayetteville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at TruCare Living Centers in Columbus, TX. Regina was born in Fayetteville, Texas on March 13, 1937, the daughter of Frank and Albina (Sury) Malota. She married Clarence J. Gerik on February 26, 1957 in Fayetteville TX. Regina and Clarence were blessed with 54 years of marriage. Regina enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. She was a faithful member of the St. John The Baptist Church of Fayetteville and the Ladies Altar Society. She was also a long-time member of the K.J.Z.T. St. Anne's Society #10 for over 75 years. She is survived by her three sons, Clarence F. Gerik (fiancée, Rose Urban) of Columbus TX, Ronnie Gerik (Pam) of Fayetteville TX, Steven Gerik (special friend, Julie) of Brenham TX; and her two daughters, Susan Gilbreth (Stephen) of Copperas Cove, TX and Shirley Noviskie (Randy) of Fayetteville, TX; her sister, Lillie Prihoda of Freeport, TX; brother, Justin Malota, Sr. (Henrietta) of Fayetteville, TX; three sisters-inlLaw, Clara Gerik, Betty Gerik, both of Fayetteville TX, and Ludie Dennis of Warda TX; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; all her special friends and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence J. Gerik; brothers, Arnold Malota, Sr. and wife, Wilma, Frank Malota and wife, Albina; sister, Adell Coufal and husband, Emmett Sr; brother-in-Law, Syl Prihoda; nephew, Arnold Malota, Jr.; and step-grandchild, Brandy Noviskie Martinez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Crematory, 109 E. State Hwy 71, Ellinger, TX. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fayetteville, TX, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Kyle Gerik, Kyle Noviskie, Ethan Shows, Cameron Urban, Emmett Coufal, Jr., Justin Malota Jr., and Bruce Prihoda. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 65, Fayetteville, TX 78940; or to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 57, Fayetteville, TX 78940.
