SHORT, J. Y. Died in Gainesville Interred at Bolivar 75 yrs. Old DOD Nov. 10, 1908 DCN Nov. 12, 1908, p.3, c.4 & p.5, c.6 DCN Nov. 19, 1908, p.3, c.6 Provided by Gary Cowan James Young Short, a son of Josiah Short and Sarah W. Martin Short who moved from Kentucky to southern Illinois. While the rest of their children stayed in Illinois, their son James Young Short moved to Texas and was an early settler of Bolivar in Denton County, and had many descendants in the area. -
