Funeral services were conducted in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel for Dan Moody McKee, 74, of Livingston. Burial followed in Peebles Cemetery. He was born May 15, 1930 in Colmesneil, the son of Bill and Clara Reid McKee. Mr. McKee served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, having attained the rank of Corporal. Mr. McKee died Thursday, September 23, in Memorial Health System of East Texas in Lufkin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Buck McKee, J.V. McKee and Vernon McKee. Survivors include his wife, Thelma McKee of Livingston; son, Kevin J. McKee of Lovelady; granddaughters, Amanda McKee and Kimberly McKee, both of Lovelady; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis L. and Beverly McKee of Warren; mother-in-law, Minnie Jacobs Owen of Livingston; sisters-in-law, Margie McKee of Woodville and Pat McKee of Groveton; brother-in-law, Mike Jacobs and wife, Patsy, of Moscow; sisters-in-law, Mary Moore and husband, Putney, Debbie Clack and husband, Charlie, Linda Jacobs and Brenda Jacobs, all of Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
