Sherman A. Weed Funeral services for Sherman Andrew Weed were held at the Trinity Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon, September 28, at 2 o'clock with the Rev. J. R. Gwin officiating. Burial was in the Palacios Cemetery. A native of Miranda City, Texas, he was born April 23, 1927, a son of Nathan and Marie Weed. A pipefitter, he was employed by Union Carbide and had resided in Palacios for eight years. He passed away Monday morning at Wagner General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He is survived y his wife, Kathryn; two daughters, Deborah Kay and Linda Gail, one son, Sherman Andrew Weed, Jr., all of Palacios; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Lou Bowen; one brother, Bobby Weed, both of San Antonio.
