Bio

Daniel Pea was was born in Nelson Co, KY (his family came from Lancaster Co, PA). Daniel Pea (b 1795) moved in 1831 to help his brother (Jacob Pea) farm, settling in Marrowbone Township, Moultrie Co (then Macon Co), IL, then two years later moved to Lovington Township. In 1833, 1837 and 1839, Daniel bought a total of 12,000 acres of land, dedicating some of the land as the "Pea Cemetery", in Moultrie Co, IL.
