Ruth Bjornson Yoder, 85, Minot, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in a Minot Hospital. Ruth was born August 24, 1920 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Engle and Emma (Aalberg) Bjornson. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot Model High School. Prior to her marriage, Ruth helped raise and support her sister, Myrtle's children. She was united in marriage to Otis Yoder on January 29, 1959 in First Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where she worked for a time with National Tea Food Store. She and Otis were longtime members of First Lutheran Church, Minot, where she served on the Deaconess Board. Ruth especially enjoyed music and the wonders of nature: the opening of a flower in springtime, a mother bird feeding her young, the azure blue of a summertime sky and winter's first snowfall. Her favorite song was Christmas', Silent Night, Holy Night. Her loving family includes: Her husband of 47 years, Otis; Brother: Roy (Elaine) Bjornson, Minot; Godchildren: Lizbeth Lemke, Oak Park, IL, Alison Lemke, Newton, IA, Mark Lemke, Anchorage, AK, and Marilyn Walhood, Northglen, CO; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Myrtle Lemke and brother: Hjalmer Bjornson. Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
