William Haschke William Haschke , 77, formerly of Humphrey, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 14, 1981, at his home in North Hollywood, California. Visitation was held Easter Sunday from 5 to 9 pm at the Pierce Brothers Valhalla Mortuary. The Rev. Ed Cunningham, O.M.I. Associate Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, celebrated the 9 o'clock funeral Mass on Monday, April 20, and conducted the graveside services in the San Gabriel Resurrection Cemetery, Mr. Haschke's final resting place near his wife, Ann, who died in 1973. Mr. Haschke, son of Ferdinand (Fred) Haschke and Theresa {Scholz} Haschke, was born February 11, 1904 in Humphrey, Nebraska and attended St. Francis Parochial School here. As a young man he was engage for a good number of years in farming on the Haschke home place southeast of Humphrey. He was married to Ann Fuchs formerly of Pierce, Nebraska. The couple had one adopted daughter, who was not yet of school age when they move to Los Angeles, California. Surviors are the daughter, Sharon Brooks, one brother, Joseph Haschke of Humphrey, and two sisters, Sister Mary Rega Haschke, OSF, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mrs. Clara {Haschke} Greisen of Genoa. Mr. Haschke was preceded in death by wife, his parents, two infant brothers, also Sister M. Helen Haschke, OSF and Sister M. Rolendis Haschke, OSF. Attending the funeral in California were Lynn Nare, Dawn and Vernon Kaster, and Tina De Anna of Burbank, California; Sharon Brooks and Tony, Lori, and Belinda, Hida Antwine, Tony and Toby Moro, Rachel Ortiz, Alba Trinidad, Mr and Mrs. George Welch, Al Posada, and Juan Monroy all of North Hollywood, California; Sister Mary Rega Haschke, OSF, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Haschke of Rosemead, California.
