Bio

Four days after his infant son died from pneumonia, Thomas "Tom" Bridges, 27, local carpenter died of pneumonia after being ill for two weeks. Services were held at the First Methodist Church officiated by Breckenridge Mayor A.J. Morgan and Rev. Kenneth Pope. His wife, before her marriage, was Miss Jewel Walker survives including two sons - Howard Leon, 4 and John Tom "J.T", 2; his parents - Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Bridges; three brothers - Claude, L.M. and John C. Bridges; two sisters - Mrs. Anna Yeager and Mrs. Blanche Cutshall. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Earl. Mr. Bridges graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1923. He was associated in business with his father and his brother, John Bridges. --bio contributed by Searchers of Our Past
