Ruth Ann Thomas, 66, of Amarillo died Thursday, May 7, 2015. Ruth Ann Thomas was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Ipswich, Mass., to Harold and Dorothy Hardin. She married Roy Don Thomas on Oct. 13, 1965, in Childress, Texas. Ruth was a customer service manager for Walmart and a cook for the doctors at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital. She loved working fill-in word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She was a great cook and loved to play her piano. Ruth never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She was a devoted Christian lady, wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by them. Survivors include two daughters, Michele Spann and husband Rodney of Haltom City, Texas, Roxane Day and husband Tony of Amarillo, Texas, three sons, Jim Thomas and wife Vikee of Little Elm, Texas, Ron Thomas of Amarillo, Texas and Rodney Thomas and wife Melissa of Odessa, Texas. Two brothers, John Hardin and wife Linda of Torrance, Calif., and Raymond Hardin and wife Marsha of Amarillo, Texas. Ruth left a legacy of 20 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
