Bio

Tillie L. Chrastil was born at Friend, NE, on Nov 1, 1915, to Frank & Tillie (Cecrle) Ladman. Tillie graduated from Western High School with the Class of 1932. On June 5, 1935, Tillie and Adolph J. Chrastil were married in Lincoln, NE. They had two children, Shirley Ann Kalina and Alex Chrastil. After their marriage, Tillie & Adolph resided in the Pleasant Hill area, moving to the family farm in 1944. They moved to Crete in 1984 after a flood destroyed their farm home. After Adolph passed away in 1989, Tillie moved to Centennial Terrace. She resided there until her health declined, and in 2010, she moved to Crete Manor. Tillie enjoyed farm life, raising many chickens and ducks, & tending to her garden and flowers. She was a wonderful cook, and a great kolache and rolls baker. She always enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Tillie was a member of the Dorchester United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary # 4959, & Jestus Extension Club, She was always ready to extend a helping hand to whoever needed it. Tillie is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Kalina of Lincoln, Daughter In Law, Wilma Chrastil of Crete, Grandchildren & Spouses, Brian & Deborah Chrastil of Irvine, CA, Diane & Dean Korinek of Wilber, & Todd Chrastil of Crete. Great Grandchildren & Spouses, Kristen & Mitchell Fritz & Rebecca & Ryan Hoesche, all of Crete, Hillary Korinek & Fiance, Kyle Smith of Wilber, Russell Korinek of Wilber, Scott, Nicholas & Travis Chrastil of Crete, & Nicole & Alexis Chrastil of Irvine. CA. Great Great Grandchildren, Kaylie, Ella & Owen Fritz of Crete. Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph J Chrastil, Son, Alex Chrastil, Parents, Frank & Tillie Ladman, Brothers, Frank Jr, Louie, Lumir & Loren Ladman, Sisters, Rose Ladman & Emma(Bill) Zitek. Funeral Services:Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., Dorchester United Methodist Church, Rev. Paixao Baptista will officiate. Visitation: Thursday, 5 – 8 p.m., Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Crete. Memorials are in care of the family. Kuncl Funeral Home
