Adah Idella Garhart HUNTINGTON — Adah Idella Garhart, 75, Huntington, died April 18, 1990, in a Boise hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery, Oregon Slope near Weiser, under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home. She was born July 5, 1914, at Maurine, Mo., a daughter of Carl Milton and Georgia Bell Potts Burton. She grew up in Blairstown, Mo. She married Floyd Charles Garhart on March 10, 1931, at Lincoln, Neb. They lived in Lance Creek, Wyo., where Mr. Garhart worked in the oil fields and construction business. They moved to Council in 1944 and then moved to Huntington in 1947, where they lived the rest of their lives. Mr. Garhart died on July 14, 1969. She was a loving mother and loved to garden. She was a good homemaker and loved to cook. She was a member of the Huntington Christian Center. Survivors include a son, Fritz Garhart; two daughters, Delores VanAuken, and Bettie Corbitt, all of Huntington; two brothers, Robert Burton of Emmett, and Walter Burton of Pendleton; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Carl Wayne Garhart. Memorials may be made to the Huntington Ambulance Fund in care of the City of Huntington, P. O. Box 369, Huntington 97907.
