Ray Alton Bybee Obituary Date of Birth: Saturday, March 12th, 1921 Date of Death: Saturday, December 8th, 2012 Funeral Home: Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home www.hlfhs.com 1701 East Goodnight Blvd WILLS POINT, Texas, UNITED STATES 75169 Obituary: Ray Bybee, 91, of Wills Point, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday December 12, 2012, at Round ‘Em Up Cowboy Church in Wills Point with Pastor Benny Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow at Van Sickle Cemetery in Cash, TX under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX. Masonic and military rites will be celebrated at the funeral and graveside services. Ray Alton Bybee was born March 12, 1921, in Cash, TX to James Madison, Jr. and Lula Graham Bybee. He grew up in the Cash and Greenville area where graduated from high school. He married his soul-mate, Pauline Ellen Richard in 1944. Shortly after, Ray served his country in the U.S. Army with the 5th Regiment in Germany during World War II and was recently awarded the Bronze Star. Upon returning home in 1946, Ray and Pauline had three children and enjoyed a wonderful life of twenty six years, until Pauline’s death in 1970. An avid hunter and fisherman, Ray met his match in sportsmanship, Pauline Joe Ammons, and they were married in 1973.They spent much of their free time in these favorite hobbies during their twenty four year marriage, until her death in 2007. Ray had a career with Darr Equipment and after he retired he continued to work on heavy equipment for Van Zandt and surrounding counties, and many of its citizens. He was a member of Wills Point Masonic Lodge 422, and was a 32nd Degree Mason and a dedicated member of Round’ Em Up Cowboy Church. He served his community in many ways throughout his life, including leadership in the Boy Scouts, coaching baseball and helping to host local fish frys. He loved to study his Bible and kept a daily journal about the many moments in his life. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by and lives in the hearts and memories of sons, Jimmie Bybee and wife, Pam of Tyler and Steve Bybee of Wills Point; daughter, Susan Huckabee of Plano; son-in-law, Bob Huckabee of Addison; brother, James Bybee and wife, Johnnie of Balch Springs; sister, Faye Myers and husband, Mack of Greenville; brother-in-law, Paul Reichert, of Worland, Wyoming; grandchildren, Kimberly Bybee of Wills Point, Wendy Kidd and husband, Tom of Frisco, and Benjamin Huckabee and wife, Linda of Lewisville; and many other relatives and friends. http://www.obitsforlife.com/obituary/625927/Bybee-Ray.php
