Burch, 4017 Washington Street. He had been in ill health for the past three years. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at the James-Coker-Peters Chapel. The Rev. George Sagen, pastor of Washington Street Baptist Church will conduct the services and burial will be in Forest Park. Born in Meedville (sic), Fort Bend, Texas on December 13, 1899, Burch was the son of Mrs. Emma Burch and the late L.C. Burch. At the time of his death he held membership in the Christian Church in Denison where he was a member of the church choir. He was also an accomplished soloist, a member of the Denison Elks Club and a member of the VFW in this city. In Denison he took an active part in church work and had lived there for about twenty years. Employed by the Katy for 22 years, Burch at the time of his last illness was part terminal inspector for Southern Pacific. He served in the United States Navy for three years and saw service in the South Pacific where he was a Motor Machinist First Class. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Emma Burch; three brothers, Wesley Burch of Greenville; Ernest Burch of Denison; L.C. Burch, Jr., of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Nat Jones of Tyler and Mrs. Vera Brundidge of Greenville, and five nieces and nephews. Burch, 4017 Washington Street after an illness of three years. The Rev. George Sagen, pastor of Washington Street Baptist Church was to conduct the last rites. Cousins of Burch were named as pallbearers.
