BURWELL — Joseph “Joe” Hruza Jr., 87, of Burwell died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Burial will be in the Ord Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Maresh will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hruza was born in northern Lancaster County to Joseph and Augusta (Stryzek) Hruza, Sr. He marred Rose Marie Sevenker on June 30, 1957, near Ord and her parents’ home. Rose Marie died Jan. 5, 1996. He married Rita Cecetka on Dec. 31, 1997. Rita died Dec. 31, 2012. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Tammy Hruza of Burwell, Wayne and Christy Hruza of Ord; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Frank Johns of Hemingford and Nancy and Keith Andersen of Adams; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Dorothy Hruza of Ord; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Laura and Emil Hynek of Lincoln, and Adeline Nelson of Burwell; a sister-in-law, Alma Hruza of Ord; and 10 stepchildren, Kathleen and Richard Elsinger, Rich and Claudia Cecetka, Joan Thomas, Thomas Cecetka, Geri Nisely, Ed Cecetka, Elaine Cecetka-Wood, Mary Jo Cecetka, James Cecetka and Ruth Cecetka.
